About Metal Music

Metal music is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It mostly comes from Great Britain and the United States and are known for the electric guitars,
the loud bass and the screaming voices. This genre is weird seen because most people call it satanic, although some groups sing some anti-war songs and are trying to defends
important causes. It also has a lot of different kinds like

Traditional heavy metal
Trash metal
Progressive metal

Famous Metal Bands

Metallica

Metallica is an American heavy metal band created in 1981, it is known by most people around the world. The group has four players:

James Hetfield: he's the cofounder, singer and rhythmic guitarist of the group.
Lars Ulrich, the drummer and cofounder of Metallica. Him and James are the two permanent people.
Kirk Hammett is the solo guitar player.
Robert Trujillo is the bass player of the band.

System Of A Down

System Of A Down is an Armenian popular group, created in 1994, it also has four players:

Daron Malakian: he's a singer but is mostly known for playing guitar in the group.
Serj Tankian is a producer, a writer and a poet.
Shavo Odadjian is a painter, a producer, editor but is known as the bass player in the group.
John Dolmayan plays the drum.

Slipknot

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band created back in 1995 and currently has eight players:

Shawn Crahan, one of the creator of the band, he's the percussionist and is the only remaining original member.
Corey Taylor is a vocalist, songwriter, he has another band called Stone Sour in which he is the leader.
Mick Thomson is one of the guitarist and came after meeting some old members (Paul Gray and two others).
Sid Wilson is the least known, he is the turntablist of the band (creates new sound effects, mixes etc...)
Jim Root is the other guitarist of the group, and the leader guitarist of Stone Sour (Corey's band)
Alessandro Venturella is the current bassist of the group and used to play guitar for some other bands.
Michael Pfaff is one of the two percussionists of the band.
Eloy Casagrande is the drummer of the band, he also plays in a brazilian band.

Korn

Korn is an American nu metal band created in 1993 and currently has five players:

Jonathan Davis is the singer of the band.
Brian Welch is the cofounder and one of the guitarist of the band.
James Shaffer is the other guitarist, he has another band: Fear And The Nervous System.
Reginald Arvizu is the bassist of the group, he is also a guitarist in the Stillwell band.
Ray Luzier is the drummer of the band.

And here is a list of some of the most iconic albums from the four bands mentionned earlier!

Metallica

Master Of Puppets is Metallica's most famous album, it was their third album and
was released on March 1986. It became the first metal album to be on the Billboard 200,
getting in the 24st place. It sold more then 6 millions times!

System Of A Down

Toxicity is System Of A Down's second album, it came out in 2001. It became popular because
there are multiples genre like Jazz, Rock, Folk, Armenian music and Grecque music! It was
voted the third best CD of all time by some magazines!

Slipknot

"Slipknot" is the band's most popular album. It was published back in 1999, and
quickly sold more than 2 millions times in the United States only! It will also become
part of the 1001 albums everyone should listen to in 2001!

Korn

Korn's third album "Follow the leader" is one of their most popular albums and was
released in 1998. The band had another big success just a year later. Their album
made up to 14 millions sell !!
